Day 23 & 24: Big Fish, Big Trouble in Little China and the Bill and Ted Movies

Big Fish

Whose Movie: Mutual Buy

Rating: Awesome
This movie is one that we both love.  First of all, it's a Tim Burton movie, so that automatically makes it one that I like, and then add to it the amazing story, and it can't go wrong.  We still laughed at the jokes.  We caught a continuity issue and laughed about that.  Then when it ended, we were both is tears.  It's a touching story, that is enjoyable to watch.

Big Trouble in Little China

Whose Movie: Matt's

Rating: Awesomely Cheesy
When Big Fish ended Matt said "Now for a movie that's a little less sad, and a lot more awesome." This movie is bad, in a super cheesy way.  The dialogue is awful. And the plot seems incredibly rushed.  But the awesome part is the fight scenes and Kurt Russell.  Nothing beats a bad Kurt Russell movie, and we still have two left in our collection.

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

Whose Movie: Mutual Buy

Rating: It was okay
If I remember correctly, the Bill and Ted movies were a nostalgia buy. It had been such a long time since I had watched this movie, that I had forgotten that the whole point was that Bill and Ted were like God's in the future, and they needed to be kept together for the future to happen.  I enjoyed the historical aspect of it, and I enjoyed the historical figures running amok in the mall.  Other than that, this movie was bad, but not as bad as it's sequel.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

Whose Movie: Mutual Buy

Rating: Just awful

Okay, so this movie sucked. Majorly.  It seemed completely unnecessary, and the plot was very contrived.  The end though, took the cake for the worst part of the movie.  Seriously.  Watch it, and then tell me if you think this was awesome.  I think the only reason we have this one is because it came in a combo pack with the first movie.
Next up in our collection: Blacula, Blazing Saddles and The Blues Brothers.
